Yogi Tarun Kranti Agrawal
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500
Tarun Agrawal, founder and director of The Kranti Yoga Village, was born in 1980 in Chhattisgarh, Middle India. Following a family tradition, at the age of 9, he frequented a guru named Sant Chana Baba for meditation and yogic spiritual talks. Chana Baba was an old Tantra Master living in a temple located on Shakti Mountain. He gave Tarun his spiritual name, Kranti, meaning revolution. It is no surprise that this has therefore become the name of his successful business, a yoga school with accommodation, on Patnem Beach, Goa.
Sonaal ji
Master of Science in Yoga
Sonaal, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, known as the “Land of Mahadev/Shiva,” has always had a spiritual inclination. From a young age, he was interested in physical sports and the physical side of yoga. His father, who comes from an Air Force background, taught him Sanskrit (the language of yoga) and pranayama. Sonaal’s exposure to diverse cultures and philosophies came from traveling with his family around India during his childhood.
Shruti ji
Skilled and knowledgable yoga teacher, has five years of teaching experience in Vinyasa flow, meditation, pranayama and teaching methodology. She was born in South India and got interested in yoga at the age of 19. Her curiosity about Yoga led her to Rishikesh and do her 500 hours TTC. She gained tremendous knowledge in the field of yoga and has been sharing it to better her students in the field too. She’s now with us at kranti, eagerly waiting to be spreading all the knowledge she has gathered over 5 years of practise and travel!
Tess ji
While growing up in Boulder, Colorado, I was introduced to yoga at a young age. Many years later, I started experiencing chronic back pain and numbness down my arms. I visited countless doctors and physical therapists and found that yoga was the only thing that provided relief – not only asana, but also meditation, pranayama, yoga nidra, and the inevitable self-inquiry that came with these practices. After years of intermittent practice, I committed myself to a consistent practice at Triyoga in London, where I was living at the time. Yoga ended up transforming every aspect of my life, and I began teaching in 2017.
